Save Hyde Park
Written by admin

Dear Councilpersons,

A friend of mine has informed me that there is to be a public meeting at West Park School either this Friday 18th Sept or next Friday at 7pm where plans to dig trenches and fill them with concrete in order to have  BBQ paving stones all over Hyde Park are to be discussed. Please could you pass this on to the relevant person so I can find out the exact date in order to attend.

Could you also please pass on my comments that as a resident of LS6 (very near to the park) I am shocked that we have received no flyer through the door highlighting this plan and or meetings about it, or a survey of our opinions.

Leeds Music SEEN
Written by admin
You know those heavily laden with geeky-looking-bags people, you envy bypassing you at gigs. The ones you later spot up close at the stage in positions you thought only Pilates teachers could sport and sweatily snapping away with camera to boot. Well, we’ve bagged ‘em and their masterpieces for an exclusive exhibition this May.

george_kaiserLaunching at 4pm Sunday 24th of May at North Bar ‘Leeds Music SEEN’, hosted by mill is the first in a long line of creative ventures presented to the city by the mill creative collective.

The photography exhibition is homage to some of Leeds’ favourite musical talents, with pictures taken by our cities most dedicated and inventive creatives.

Featuring an exciting range of crafted photography from extreme action shots taken at festivals and telling gig snaps to the oh so illusive ‘shoot’; just a few of the subjects on offer for revere include bart_emThe Kaisers, Middleman, Die Video Die, Jake Seal and the Pigeon Detectives.

The faces behind the lenses document the scene with heart pounding and truly inspiring intensity, so as we’re sure you’ll be speechless in staring awe we’ve laid on some free bubbly plus a lyrically stomping DJ set from the legendary Middleman to get the party started.

To get your mitts on exclusive invites to the launch and graze alongside creative cattle of the finest sort, mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The exhibition is open to the public from 25th May through to 3rd of July in accordance with North Bar’s opening times.

Mill would especially like to thank recently appointed live photographer for the NME Tom Martin, for his role in curating and displaying at the exhibition.

See you there…
